Singapore Grand Prix – Seb and Charles one-two for Ferrari!

Singapore, 22 September 2019 –Scuderia Ferrari picked up its 84th one-two finish in Formula 1, dominating the 12th Singapore Grand Prix with Sebastian Vettel first past the flag ahead of team-mate Charles Leclerc.

Strategy.  The win came as a result of a perfect strategy implemented at the right moment when the team decided to pit Sebastian to avoid the possibility of an undercut from Max Verstappen. The German came out of pit lane to find an empty track ahead of him which meant he was able to push hard immediately, without having to deal with traffic. When Charles pitted on the next lap, he came out behind Sebastian who led the race from then on.

The wait is over.  This is Sebastian’s 53rd win, the 14th with Scuderia Ferrari and his first since last year’s Belgian Grand Prix. This was also his fifth win at this track, which is a record here. He is now just one victory off Niki Lauda’s total, second in the all time table of Ferrari winners behind Michael Schumacher.
