Singapore Grand Prix – Practice 1: Seb 2nd, a problem for Charles

Singapore, 20 September 2019 – Sebastian Vettel was second fastest in the first free practice session for the Singapore Grand Prix, while Charles Leclerc had a gearbox problem which shortened his track time.

35 laps.  Between them, the Scuderia Ferrari drivers completed 35 laps. Seb and Charles started the day on the hardest compound tyre. The German stopped the clocks in 1’44”479 and the Monegasque did a 1’43”618.

Problem.  Then the drivers pitted for set-up changes to be made along with a switch to the softest tyres available here, Sebastian did a 1’40”426 on this first run, but Charles had to pit again, having done 12 laps, because of a gearbox problem. Sebastian did a total of 23 laps. The next session starts at 20:30 local (14.30 CET.)
