Le Mans Classic 2023: The New Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio make their debuts at the second “TRIBE DAYS”: the event celebrating Alfa Romeo culture, specially for its fans

The Le Mans Classic 2023 – a celebration of passion for classic racing cars – served as an opportunity to celebrate the centenary of both the Quadrifoglio and of the historic French circuit, where the Italian brand has written chapters in the history of motorsport. An unmissable opportunity for Alfa Romeo to get its enthusiasts involved in the second TRIBE DAYS: featuring in the event will be Alfisti fans from all over the world, together with official clubs and owners of the Italian brand’s highest-performance creations Amid the extraordinary atmosphere at the event in France, lovers of cars could admire rare collector’s gems such as the 6C 3000CM (1953); the 33 Stradale prototipo (1967); the 33/3 Litri “Le Mans” (1970); the 33 TT 12 (1975) Exclusive events, parades, hot laps on the track where the 24 Hours of Le Mans is held. But not only that, together with the icons of the past the new Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio made their debuts on the road and joined in with the event’s parades. The event was a resounding success with the public and confirmed the very close bond between Alfa Romeo and its fans, based on the founding values that have characterized the brand throughout its history: noble sportsmanship and Made in Italy.

The 11^th Le Mans Classic has just come to a close. From June 29^th to July 2^nd, it captured the attention of thousands of visitors and enthusiasts from all over the world, who had the opportunity to admire racing cars from between the 1920s and late ’70s on the Le Mans track.

An unmissable event for Alfa Romeo in the year it is celebrating the centenary of the Quadrifoglio, the representation of the sporting essence of the brand since 1923. The moment was made even more unique by the fact this year is also the centenary of the circuit where the 24 Hours of Le Mans is held. Alfa Romeo triumphed there four years in a row, from 1931 to 1934, overcoming the dominant Bentley that had until then been the undisputed star. The story goes that the Alfa Romeo team arrived at Le Mans so well prepared and raring to go that they even took over the Hôtel Modern, until then the “fiefdom” of their British sporting rivals.

For the event, Alfa Romeo called on its fans and invited them to the second TRIBE DAYS, which featured Alfisti from all over the world together with official clubs and owners of mechanical creations made by the Biscione brand. The fulcrum of the spectacular event was the official Alfa Romeo stand, where four exceptional models were on display. All of them are flagships from the Heritage collection on show at the Museo Storico Alfa Romeo in Arese: a 6C 3000CM (1953); the extraordinary 33 Stradale prototipo (1967); a 33/3 Litri “Le Mans” (1970), featuring the logo of Autodelta, the Alfa Romeo racing department’s official team, celebrating its 60^th anniversary this year; a 33 TT 12 (1975). Alongside them were the latest additions to the line-up: the exclusive Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio “100° Anniversario”, as well as the Tonale, Alfa Romeo’s first plug-in hybrid Q4.
Also in attendance at the event was the exclusive Giulia SWB Zagato, a unique specimen fitted with the 2.9-liter, 540-hp V6 engine from the Giulia GTAm, with manual transmission, carbon fiber bodywork and a short wheelbase (the latter becoming its nickname).

From Friday, June 30^th to Sunday, July 2^nd, Alfa Romeo enthusiasts had the opportunity to enjoy three days of pure passion, studded with unprecedented events and exclusive driving experiences on the Montlhéry and Le Mans circuits – the setting for some of the most extraordinary chapters in the history of international motorsport, in which Alfa Romeo was the undisputed star.
