VIDEO Remembering – Thank’s to the “VIA MODENA”, four days in homage of the reconstruction of the legendary Lamborghini Miura Jota 4
26.27,28 and 29 April 2019: 4 days of events, organized by VIA MODENA, as always chaired by Elisabetta Masini, with the collaboration of Cristina Guizzardi, all at the first presentation of the official reconstruction (certified by the made company ) of the legendary Lamborghini Miura Jota 4: built in 1971 in one-off by Bob Wallace and later unfortunately destroyed in an accident. Of the original car only the engine could be saved, on the basis of which the official replica in Japan was patiently reconstructed.
Start on Friday 26th, with the visit to Nonantola, two of the most qualified restoration centers in the world began, such as the Carrozzai Nonantola Company, specialized in the restoration and almost complete reconstruction of the historic Lamborghini bodies: a center among the best at world for the restoration of the legendary cars of the “Casa del Toro”, for all that concerns the “body”, including the chassis and the various components, up to the painting and the final assembly of the cars.
Visit where the participants were fascinated, not only by the work in progress, but above all by the quantity and quality of the cars present: Miura of all kinds, Countach, Espada and then again Bizzarrini, Stanguellini and even a FIAT Dino.
To conclude the morning with dignity, also the visit to another workshop in the area, in this case dedicated essentially to the restoration and restoration of the Lamborghini mechanics and also in this case the participants, coming from different parts of the world specially, including New Zealand and Japan above all, they have once again been able to make a fantastic experience of unique cars in the world.
At the end of the morning visits, of course, lunch, rigorously organized based on typical local products in an ancient and typical local “trattoria”: “da Italo” in Rubbiara, located in the Modena countryside, between Nonantola and Sant’Agata Bolognese.
In the afternoon, the procession then moved to Bomporto, still in the “lower Modena”, to visit another typical workshop, in this case historically dedicated to the restoration and reconstruction of the electrical systems of the Emilian cars of the time: from GATTI William.
Finally, to end the day, before dinner visit to an important local balsamic vinegar company, the “Monari Federzoni” where, in addition to learning the production process, the participants could also a taste of it. Moreover, surprised by the surprises, within this company, there is also a small private collection of very respectable vintage cars: including a rare Temperino from the beginning of the last century, various historic Alfa Romeos including a beautiful 6C Villa D’Este, a Bugatti Type 57, a Ferrari 365 GTB, a rare Phanter and still an equally rare Ansaldo.
Today, Saturday 27, the long awaited moment of the presentation of the official replica of the Lamborghini Miura Jota 4 in the main square of Sant’Agata Bolognese, with the participation of many historic employees of the legendary company created by Ferruccio Lamborghini: by testers Valentino Balboni and Loris Bicocchi , to the nieces of Ferruccio Elettra and Flaminia, up to the daughter of Ing. Paolo Stanzani, Chiara, and Ferruccio’s secretary and historical interpreter: Ingrid Pussich, always kind but shy and deep; who, all together, recounted their experiences at the time of the Miura Jota 4, reviving those present, including the entire Wallace family, Bob Charlie’s brother with his wife Fiona and their children, who came from New Zealand, a a mythical and unrepeatable era in our history.
While for the presentation of the Jota 4 project, the Japanese delegation mainly spoke, including: the head of the Akama project and the journalist Shinichi Ekko, as well as the owner of the car, Mr. Pulford.
At the end, the inauguration by the mayor of Sant’Agata Bolognese of the square dedicated to Ferruccio Lamborghini and a visit to the Automobili Lamborghini Museum, before lunch in another typical Sant’Agata inn: Nuovo Antares! In the afternoon, the visit to the museum entitled by his son Tonino to his father Ferruccio in Funo di Argelato where, in addition to the cars, all the tractors and every Ferruccio creation are also kept.
Tomorrow, all at the Imola racetrack, guests of the Minardi Team, with formula and racing cars of all types and ages on the track and a visit to the Checco Costa Museum.
The conclusion, on Monday 29, will instead be dedicated to the presentation of the book created specifically on the “J” Duch Project to the children of the elementary school of Sant’Agata Bolognese.
