Q3.  In the final scrap for pole position, Charles set a first time of 1’25”616, which at the time was good enough for fourth. Sebastian stopped the clocks in 1’25”787. On the last set of Soft tyres, the Monegasque in the end got down to a 1’25”172, just 79 thousandths off Valtteri Bottas and 73 behind Lewis Hamilton who both start on the front row. The German did not improve and will start from sixth on the grid.
