BIGA 3000: the city tender of the future!

THE RESEARCH PROJECT AND THE TEAM: Greenway is a research project born in Modena from the ideas of a designer and university professor, Prof. Fabrizio Ferrari, assisted by some very inspired students, trainees, new graduates in Vehicle Engineering at the University of Modena and at the Ohio University Research Center. PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS
The basic idea is to create intelligent sustainable mobility for the future, primarily for concentrations of large cities in general.
To achieve an optimal result, Greenway aims, as its ultimate goal, to create a “full-electric” vehicle, the “BIGA 3000” (literally, the chariot of the third millennium) which, thanks to its intelligent package, manages to make the most of the advantages offered, not only by full-electric traction (therefore zero emissions), but also those of autonomous driving which, in city traffic, certainly represents the future.

But why do we call our “full-electric” package INTELLIGENT?

Basically, without going into technical details (for which we refer you to the description of the product, in the presentation, including the historical excursus on the state of the art of electric vehicles), it is essentially a question of reducing and optimally arranging all the mechanical and electronic components, necessary for the operation of the vehicle. In order to optimize the relationship between the external dimensions of the vehicle, minimized to the essentials, with the internal spaces usable by users, on the contrary maximized and above all made more efficient. Thus increasing the comfort and quality of life on board.

In addition to minimizing in turn, also the difficulties and skills required for using the vehicle itself (for this reason much is left to the software at various levels of assist, up to autonomous driving).
It is precisely in this perspective that the perfect symmetry on each side of the “BIGA 3000” also fits in, which, in addition to significantly optimizing production costs, allows it above all to move indifferently in both directions.

Finally, the mechanism and management of the door, totally automated and which does not involve the slightest encumbrance outside the vehicle, is certainly another exclusive advantage in the sense of practicality, safety and versatility of use of the “BIGA 3000” .

We want to obtain a practical vehicle for the city (suitable for circulating in any area, thanks to its small footprint, ease of parking and use and absolutely always zero emissions) and multi-function: that is, suitable for the most varied uses and needs, from the rental by the municipalities, in special exchange parking lots equipped with recharging for battery packs, to use for public transport, as well as post office, delivery, etc.
Without excluding large rental companies, including private ones.

RUNNING AUTONOMY GUARANTEED IN DIFFERENT WAYS:
– CHARGING THE BATTERY PACK IN BRAKING (GENERATORS ON THE WHEELS)
– CHARGING VIA SOLAR PANELS DROWN IN THE GLASSES OF THE UPPER PART OF THE COCKPIT (ROOF AND TWO WINDSCREEN / REAR WINDOW)
– WI FI CHARGING IN THE APPROPRIATE PARKING PLOT
– QUICK REPLACEMENT OF THE REMOVABLE BATTERY PACK FROM THE BOTTOM (IF NECESSARY)
