Berlinetta World Premiere in Monte Carlo
The final version of the new Italian sports car will debut at Top Marques in Monaco from April 14 to 17
The Salon Top Marques in Monaco will host the world debut of Effeffe Berlinetta, that after a development lasted more than three years, has reached its final shape and is ready for production in small series.
The Berlinetta – born from the passion of Leonardo and Vittorio Frigerio brothers – is not the nostalgic replica of a coupe of the ’60s, but although it is a car designed according to the format of the Alfa Romeo GT of that era, it is designed and developed with advanced computer technology and it is modern in terms of chassis though made entirely by hand, with full respect for the tradition of high Italian craftsmanship.
The all-aluminum body covers a frame in tubular steel and honeycomb, the front suspensions are push rod while the rear axle is driven by a Watt’s linkage. The total weight of Berlinetta on road is lower than 800 kg. The car on display at Top Marques, painted in the classic Rosso Corsa livery of the Italian GT, is equipped with a 2-liter Alfa Romeo engine and a close 5-speed both prepared by the world-renowned specialist Carlo Facetti.
“The Berlinetta is the daughter of a great passion but also the perfect example of how to combine the spirit of the Italian Granturismo of the 60s, the special attention of the master craftsmen who built them with the most modern design and industrial techniques” Leonardo Frigerio
“Driving Berlinetta you feel extraordinary and new emotions, because it is alive, has a passionate temperament unknown to modern cars, it requires a superfine guide sensitivity but has an efficacy and driving performance very topical.”
