Lancia arrives in France at the “Le Mans Classic 2023” with Lancia Pu+Ra HPE

Lancia Pu+Ra HPE arrives in France and will be visible to the international public of “Le Mans Classic 2023”, the largest gathering of historic cars in the world.

Lancia Pu+Ra HPE is one of the two Lancia cars on display at the “Le Mans Classic 2023”, the world’s largest gathering of classic cars that will continue until Sunday, July 2nd.

Lancia concept car is now on show to an international general public in France for the first time, at the “Le Mans Classic 2023” with over 200,000 visitors expected.

The stage is one of great occasions: a unique show to meet enthusiasts, collectors and drivers from all over the world and give everyone a look at the Lancia Pu+Ra HPE, the brand’s manifesto for the next 10 years.

Lancia is a brand that made people dream of, both as a result of its beautiful and elegant cars, such as the Flaminia, the Aurelia and the Fulvia with actors and members of the international jetset on board, and also because Lancia cars were the most successful in rally ever, such as Delta, 037 and Stratos. A third factor is the heroic achievements of the drivers aboard iconic cars, such as the Frenchman Yves Loubet who arrived second in the 1987 Tour de Corse in a Lancia Delta HF 4WD Martini Racing, and, driving a Lancia Delta Integrale Martini Racing, in 1988 he qualified third in the same competition and third in the Rally of Portugal.

Well over 40 Lancia clubs exist all over the world, including seven in France: they all share the exact same passion for this brand and its beautiful Italian cars.

The same vibrant enthusiasm unites the visitors of the “Le Mans Classic”: over the years, unforgettable Lancia cars have paraded on the circuit of the legendary French event, such as Beta Montecarlo Turbo, LC1, LC2 and Stratos.

Throughout the duration of “Le Mans Classique 2023”, Lancia will be displaying Lancia Pu+Ra HPE alongside a 1956 Lancia Aurelia B20S, a car that participated five times at Le Mans Classic and at the 2004 Paris Rally and which belongs to a member of the Lancia Classic Club de France.

Lancia Pu+Ra HPE and Aurelia B20S represent the dialogue between past and future that epitomizes the renaissance of the Lancia brand.

Indeed, the Lancia Aurelia is one of the cars that inspired the design of the brand’s future models, which are reflected in the concept car. The smooth side lines that descend towards the rear of the car; the sleek design, formed by aerodynamics, sustainability and fluidity of the volumes of Lancia Pu+Ra HPE are a clear reference to the Lancia Aurelia and Flaminia.

Founded in 2002 as a spinoff from the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Le Mans Classic gathers the affection and passion of interested parties by bringing back to the circuit cars that have previously run along its 13.65 km of track, as part of one of the biggest automotive events in France. Between the qualifiers and the actual races – split into the eras they relate to – the event is a major meeting place for car clubs, for how it combines activities on the racing circuit with a series of exhibitions and auctions. Set up to take place every other year, the event is making an exceptional return in 2023, with an unprecedented edition to celebrate the centenary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Lancia Pu+Ra HPE

The Lancia Pu+Ra HPE is the brand’s manifesto for the next 10 years, a 100% electric concept car that represents the brand’s vision in terms of design, interior home feeling, sustainability, electrification and effortless technology. It is a perfectly practical and nimble car with an elegant and unconventional body that guarantees the utmost efficiency, with attention paid to range, charging time and efficiency.

It is the first car in Lancia’s new era, with a low roof and four doors, inspired by the world of Italian interior design as a result of the collaboration with Cassina – a leader in luxury furnishings – for a typically Italian experience of the “home feeling”.

The name “Lancia Pu+Ra HPE” is based on “Pu+Ra”, the brand’s new pure and radical design language, whereas “HPE” stands for High-Performance Electric. The new Lancia concept car fully embodies the principles of the brand’s new design language, according to which the car’s volumes are created by the intersection of elementary geometric shapes, such as the circle and triangle, combined with certain eclectic details of Lancia’s heritage, such as the Venetian blinds from the Lancia Beta HPE.

The Lancia Pu+Ra HPE is a car where 70% of its touchable surfaces are made of eco-sustainable materials, expressing the Italian spirit, eclecticism, revisited tradition and the “home feeling”.

The Lancia Pu+Ra HPE is the first car with the S.A.L.A. infotainment system, which brings together the audio, climate control and lighting functions. It also means the car’s interior environment can be adjusted simply by tapping a button, or even using voice control.
