Menu dei Motori 25th Anniversary preview

Once again we are there! We are living in very difficult times, subjected to great, continuous and radical changes, to the point that we now have very few points of reference. One of these is undoubtedly our traditional “Menu dei Motori” yearbook which, despite everything, has reached number 25, constantly continuing to grow and improve! In fact, as you can see by browsing through it, this is a truly special issue, where there is no shortage of exclusive contents, both historical and current.

This issue opens with the “novelty” of ISSAM: news for “Menu dei Motori”, as the oldest Modena institute of “car design and engineering” celebrates, not surprisingly, its 50th anniversary! On the following pages, you can read the complete story, together with the various testimonies of the founders and some former students who then made a career in the automotive world! The other major topic, this year, in addition to Ferrari’s 75th Anniversary, with various current and non-current articles, is the exclusive interview with Dr. Antonello Coletta, Head of the entire Ferrari “racing” area, Formula 1 excluded, which presents us in great detail, how the historic return of Ferrari in Endurance races and in particular at the 24 Hours of Le Mans was born and is developing. Of course there is no shortage of news from Alfa Romeo but, in particular, among the truly exclusive historical topics, we publish an interview with Claudio Zampolli, founder of Cizeta Automobili, who died a few months ago and whose initiative, between the end of the 80s and the early 90s, led to the creation of the most exclusive supercar of the time: even with a 16-cylinder engine, the result of an entirely Modenese project! Clearly, the accompanying images are, in this case truly unique and unobtainable! Moving on to Maserati, in addition to a whole series of new products, even a real PREVIEW: the new GranTurismo “Folgore”, which will also be offered in a full-electric version. The traditional TEST DRIVE could not be missing: in this case the fabulous Maserati MC20 which, among other things, has totally conquered me! Also with regard to Pagani, in addition to the last special series of Huayra, the “Longtail”, due to the tight and almost coincident times (between the printing of the volumes and the release of the official photos), we therefore propose another PREVIEW, that of the unprecedented C10, the heir of the Huayra and of which we then propose, in real time, the presentation on the website and in the connected social networks of “Menu dei Motori”. While on number 26 of the yearbook, you will find the complete story of the project, with interviews and exclusive material as always! To conclude, as always, all the Lamborghini news, but not only. In honor of the 50th anniversary of the Countach, the symbolic car of Lamborghini itself, in addition to the various initiatives of the Sant’Agata company itself, such as the creation of a new limited series inspired by the design and the reconstruction of Bertone’s LP500 prototype, at epoch that was destroyed in the crash test, we at “Menu dei Motori”, on the other hand, decided to reconstruct the entire history of the birth of this iconic model, directly through a manuscript that Eng. Paolo Stanzani, the “father” designer of Project 112, personally left it to myself! Obviously all accompanied by many images and drawings of the time, in some cases completely exclusive and unpublished! To conclude with a flourish, a fantastic PREVIEW also from Lamborghini itself: the surprise announcement of the participation in the Endurance championship, by the Casa del Toro, starting from 2024, with an unprecedented Lambo LMDh!
