“Fulminea”, an unprecedented and incredible Italian hypercar with solid state batteries

Estrema “Fulminea” is the first Italian electric hypercar with a “hybrid” battery that uses solid state cells.

Automobili Estrema announces the arrival of its wonderful supercar, which we will be able to see on the market during the second half of 2023.

We have to wait a couple of more years, and then this jewel will appear, called “Fulminea” (which speaks all) . Furthermore, it will be the first road-approved supercar that will use a unique and innovative “hybrid” battery pack. It will use solid state cells, which will be produced by ABEE, Avesta Battery Energy Engineering.

The brand new battery pack will be designed and built in collaboration with IMECAR Elektronik, specialized in the sector.

The transmission of the new electric hypercar will be equipped with 4 electric motors, the peak power capable of unleashing will be 2040 horsepower, which will allow the car to boast a fantastic shot from 0 to 320 km / h in less than 10 seconds.

The battery pack of the Estrema Automobili car will have a capacity of 100 kWh, with an expected range of 520 km in the WLTP cycle.

The hybrid battery of the hypercar will be made with “cell to pack” technology and, as we have said, will use solid state cells; in this way it will reach a record energy density, with 450 Wh / kg (equivalent to 1,200 Wh / l) and a battery weight of only 300 kg, with a total mass in running order of about 1500 kg.

Automobili Estrema will move its operational headquarters to Modena very soon, right in the heart of the Italian Motor Valley.

Initially the production of “Fulminea” will be limited to only 61 units, later we will see the company’s projects. At the moment we can say that the brand is a new “character” who becomes part of the world of car manufacturers, offering only niche cars.

Automobili Estrema specializes in the construction of electric hypercars and supercars and was founded last year by Gianfranco Pizzuto, an Italian entrepreneur and former co-founder and financier of Fisker Automotive in 2007. A management team of professionals in the sector, with a consolidated and multi-year experience in the field, supports the manager.

As we said, “Fulminea” will arrive in 2023 and will be the first street-legal electric car ever to use a battery type that combines solid-state Li-ion cell ultra-capacitors.
