United States Grand Prix – Practice 3: Seb second, problem for Charles

Austin, 2 November 2019 –There were mixed results for Scuderia Ferrari Mission Winnow in the third free practice session for the United States Grand Prix. Sebastian Vettel was second quickest, but Charles Leclerc had to park his SF90 at the side of the track with a PU problem.

Problem. It occurred on his installation lap, but the car was returned to the garage before the end of the session and the mechanics are now in a race against time to install an engine previously used this season, so as to avoid taking any grid penalties.

Sebastian. Vettel completed 17 laps, his times dropping throughout the session, from 1’34”733 to 1’34”441 and then setting the second fastest time overall of 1’33”523. Qualifying gets underway at 16 local (22 CET) with the United States Grand Prix starting tomorrow at 13.10 (201.10 CET.)
