Belgian Grand Prix – “Ready to fight to the finish”

With the media.  In the afternoon, Sebastian and Charles met the journalists at the team’s media motorhome, with the German first to face the microphones. “I’m happy to be back on track, especially as Spa-Francorchamps is one of the most exciting circuits of the season and it’s great to be back here. Who are favourites? I don’t think it can be us, because recently our rivals have clearly improved a lot. As for ourselves, we have nevertheless never stopped working, because sometimes, the slightest change can produce a big improvement. We have not given up, as that’s not our style. We want to win and we will keep trying right to the end.”

Batteries recharged.  Next up it was Charles, who said he had recharged his batteries and could not wait to get back on track. “I went to Greece and then the United States. I really relaxed and now I’m more pumped up than ever to tackle the second part of the season.” The Monegasque is determined to get the most out of his SF90. “I’m not sure that we can be considered favourites for the coming races, but we are definitely working flat out to improve our car, which has proved to be well suited to tracks with very long straights. But we need to wait until we’ve been out on track to get an idea of where we stand. It’s definitely great that the season restarts here in Spa-Francorchamps.”

Programme.  After tomorrow’s three hours of free practice, there’s a final hour on Saturday morning to fine tune the cars, before qualifying starts at 15 CET. The 64^th Belgian Grand Prix gets underway at 15h10 on Sunday.
